q. So how do I get started?
a. Some people like to get straight into a cleanse by cutting out all acidic foods like wheat, dairy, pasta, chocolate and sugars, cakes, biscuits, fruits and fruit juices, coffee, tea and alcohol along with meat and poultry. This doesn’t always work for some, so try cutting out different elements over a week or two – this is called a transition – and then get into the cleanse of alkalising foods and drinks and keep it going for a minimum of 10 days.
q. Where do I buy my Greens?
a. You can get them online here and they will be posted out to you within 2 business working days.
q. I get bored really quickly with salads, so what can I eat?
a. There are some really tasty recipes listed here, and you may want to try eating more avocadoes and oils and salads. My favourite snack is an avocado split in half, sprinkled with Herbamare flavoured salt and topped with lemon olive oil. It will really keep you going and give you some energy.
Try alkalising tomato snacks for something different and nutritious.
q. How do I know if its working or not?
a. When you first begin to detox, you may find that you get a bit sniffly, or have some headaches or body aches and pains. This is quite normal and your body is starting to release these toxins back into the blood stream for elimination. Persevere, drink more water, and give yourself the gift of rest. There is often a ‘hump’ to get over and within days you have a lot more available energy.

q. Everyone is talking about pH, what is that?
a. pH is the Potential of Hydrogen, and sits at 1 being most acidic, and 14, being most alkaline. The body tissues and blood sit at 7.365 or slightly alkaline. Your urine pH is representative of the level of acidity or alkalinity of your blood. You can get your pH strips here.
q. Can I keep going for longer than 10 days?
a. Sure you can, keep going for as long as you feel comfortable. A lot of people do a 30 day cleanse and then break their cleanse by eating more solid, but alkalising foods and vegetables.
q. How much water am I supposed to drink?
a. When your water is alkaline ie, with greens vegetable/grass powders in it, it is safe to consume a daily requirement of about 2 litres or 8 glasses. Sometimes your body may require more in order to really cleanse, but do as much as you feel comfortable with. It is always good to remember to start of slowly, and introduce more alkalising water every few days until you get to your required amount.
q. Some people say I can only drink a certain amount of greens everyday, why?
a. There are some products that are so potent that for your safety, a recommended dosage is best and not drink over that limit. Other greens like the ones sold on this site, are safe for consumption at very high concentrations and there is no ‘maximum’ reached because of it being too potent or unsafe. This tub will last you quite some time.
q. What is skin brushing?
a. Skin brushing is literally brushing the skin, using a cactus brush. You brush up towards the heart, starting at your feet. It stimulates the lymphatic system to remove toxins and will assist the skin in elimination. Click here to find out more.
