Samantha (we’ll call her Sam for short) is an avid alkaliser in her mid 30′s and had her first blood assessment with me in early 2008.
Looking at the dried blood profile, it was easy to determine that Sam had suffered several instances of spinal trauma, accumulating in long term stress that was affecting her moods, hormones, digestion and sleep. Continual pain and living with ‘it looks as if this is as good as it’s gonna get so I better stock up on more nurofen’ was Sam’s mantra.
Sam subsequently booked her sessions with Dr Heidi (from previous page) and these were her initial measurements.
* Right hip and shoulder, both 3 degrees lower than the left side – they should be level
* Leans to the left
* No balance
* Flat neck – known as military neck, very forward sitting
* 1.5 degree rotation on the neck
* Head sat 4 degrees off centre (the biggest neurological insult to the brain)
* Her lower neck was off by 6.5 degrees – from a neck injury
* Left leg was short by 1/2 inch
* Her ears, sat forward of her shoulders by 3 inches, meaning that her head weighed about 48lbs instead of 12, to the neck. Causing increased stress to the spinal column and supporting musculature.
* Eyes are tilted – because the head is tilted
* Sensory overload to the brain
* Discs were normal
* No intrusions on the spinal canal
* No osteophites, lips (sticky – outty bits)
* This misalignment causes the neck to sit to the right, the head to sit to the left at an angle
….
Military Neck – this is always due to an injury. The neck sits straight and the person hunches or slouches forward. No amount of telling them to sit up straight is going to work, because their spine and neck is locked in this position as their natural state………………………..
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
You can see in this picture how Sam’s ears sit about 3 inches forward of her shoulders, creating much stress on her spinal column, hips and muscles holding them all in place. ………………………..
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Its also clear to see in this photo, how Sam’s neck is also rotated and her head is off centre according to the lines. ………………………..
After Sam’s adjustment with Dr Heidi, her measurements transformed
* Right shoulder had raised by 2 degrees
* Left hip was 2 degrees down – evening out
* Head was back 2 inches
* Shoulders more even
* Left leg was 1/4 inch long (evens out within a day)
* Before and after xrays are like night and day
Sam was told that her back now has to accommodate the shift in changes, and will feel differently when she walks, because her centre of gravity has changed. Her gravity, now falls differently. She may also experience some tingling, which is nerve restoration in the right places, coming alive.
She was also told to keep her hands off her neck, to avoid the area, and let it be. Again, to Sam’s delight, no hoovering, rebounding or exercise.
Sam’s spinal shifts can also be seen in the blood over time.
September 08, November 08 and then April 2009 – the adjustment is holding some 6 months later and the spine has kept in alignment
Sam said after her adjustment “This feels like freedom, like a different body. At least I can see it now, Im not a hypochondriac like everyone says I am, its there, literally, in black and white.’
